So, I read this in a grant proposal that I was just reading, and it struck me as a rather odd thing to say.
“Atmospheric pressure is very heavy; we have over a ton per square foot pressing upon us at sea level. Luckily, we have an equal amount of internal pressure to keep us from being crushed.”
I had no idea that life on Earth was so dangerous.
